How we work
Scope
What the railway actually needs, against budget and operating windows.
Plan
Sequence, materials, contractors and host-railway coordination.
Execute
CUNA manages the work through to handback.
Qualifications
- TIG
Inspection reports used for compliance and capital planning need to come from qualified inspectors.
- CROR
Host railways expect CROR-qualified people for flagging, protection and work in the operating environment.
- ISN
Procurement teams use ISNetworld scores to decide who is allowed on site.
- eRailSafe
Without a current eRailSafe credential, crews cannot access many CN and other host-railway sites.
Equipment used
Put a crew and tools on the rail for inspection, maintenance and emergency work.
Lift and place rail, ties, materials and components on the job.
Move machines and heavy railway materials between yards and job sites.
Related services
- Track Construction & Rehabilitation
Production track construction, rehabilitation and industrial track work.
- Track Maintenance & Repair
Daily track support, programmed replacement work, geometry and repairs that keep the railway in service.
Questions
Do you engineer track in-house?
CUNA lists track design services and mainline railway approvals. Until professional-engineering status is confirmed, the public description is support and coordination, not a P.Eng. offering.
Tell us about your track.
Request a quote, ask for an inspection, or call if the railway is already stopped.
